This commission represents a natural successor to Hemisphere and Boreas, but has yet to be built. VPLP 170 should have been even bigger than Hemisphere with which she shares many design features.
In terms of performance, the focus was on lightening the structure. New embarkation points were envisaged to provide direct and easy access to the crew quarters via a hull door. Passenger comfort was also a key consideration and to this end, the interiors were redesigned to let in more natural light. The owner’s cabin was sited forward between the bows, sheltering behind a vast picture window which extends across the entire breadth of the main deck and opens onto a private balcony.
