Clak40

In late 2020, in collaboration with the Multiplast yard, VPLP ventured into the Class40 universe for the very first time. “We had been interested in this class for quite a while,” says Vincent Lauriot-Prévost, “but hadn’t quite found a suitable opening. This all changed when we saw the scows enter the fray and display significantly better performances than the previous boats. It was then that we said to ourselves that it was the right moment.”

Cerulean

Commissioned by the Micronesian Center for Sustainable Transport, a programme of the University of the South Pacific based in the Fiji Islands, and financed by the CNC shipping company, this project aims to develop a line of simple, robust and sober sailing cargo vessels to transport materials and essential commodities between the islands of the South Pacific.

Electric racing powerboat

VPLP entered into a very innovative collaboration with the SailGP circuit in 2020. The aim of the project was to study and assess the architecture, design and technical solutions for producing an electric racing boat with full foiling capacity to create a fleet of one-design racing boats.

Trade Wings 2500

Trade Wings 2500 (197 m LOA, 32 m beam) is an innovative concept for “small” container ships of 2500 TEU (twenty foot equivalent units) specializing in trade between subsidiary ports in Europe to supplement mega container ships, but also between ports in the Caribbean, Central America and China.

SYD

Description du simulateur numérique SYD, développé par l’agence de design VPLP.Works to develop SYD (Simulation Yacht Dynamics) began at VPLP Design in 2017 as part of Paul Kerdraon’s thesis on a new generation simulator. Unlike existing tools aimed mostly at the America’s Cup, which concentrated on vessel attitude on a smooth sea, SYD incorporated the effects of the swell in its calculations to model seakeeping qualities.

Koesio

Launched in 2020 for Fabrice Cahierc and subsequently picked up by Erwan Le Roux, the Ocean Fifty class (formerly the Multi50 class) generated a lot of preliminary work for the firm because she was the first multihull structure to be designed entirely by VPLP.

Lagoon SIXTY 5

The SIXTY 5 is one of the flagships in the Lagoon range. Compared to the already very luxurious Lagoon 55, this sailing yacht moves the level of comfort and elegance up a notch with, for example, a teak deck throughout.
