For our first collaboration with the Aquila shipyard, VPLP Design has developed a boat that lives up to the spirit of the existing range, but which also offers a fresh look at the hull shape, the style and the accommodations.
The walkway from the flybridge to the foredeck adheres to the conventions of the brand, but a profound stylistic study was undertaken by VPLP’s design team in collaboration with Patrick le Quément. The Aquila 42’ is the smallest model in the yard’s yacht range and much attention was paid to the overall proportions of the boat.
Considerable work on the hull shape using CFD allowed us to optimize hull drag and, as a result, performance. Foils are an optional feature that, if fitted, reduce fuel consumption and enhance comfort at sea.
The cockpit and the flybridge provide opportunities for entertaining in very comfortable and stylish surroundings.
The Aquila 42 is available in two, three and four cabin versions.
